Among the companies hardest hit was the so-called "seven top tech companies of the U.S.," collectively losing over $83 billion in value, equivalent to RMB 60.3 billion. The combined market capitalization of these companies dropped by $33 billion, equivalent to RMB 240 billion, marking a new low in their history.

In response to the sharp decline in stock markets, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement, calling the market's performance "meaningless" in terms of real economic activity. Despite previously expressing that he "doesn't pay much attention to the stock market," his recent remarks on the subject had gone viral, climbing onto the X platform (originally Twitter)熱搜 list.

The term "market crash" dominated the X platform's American熱搜 list on March 11, 2024, with over 12,700 tweets tagged with the relevant keyword. Some conservative party supporters made sarcastic remarks, criticizing those who voted for Trump for their failure to understand the current economic challenges.

Interestingly, when users clicked on the熱搜 term, the platform automatically listed a ranked list of usernames. The top name was Trump, followed by Kamala Harris. The reason for this ranking was that during the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump had criticized Harris and Biden multiple times following market downturns, and these comments were also being discussed online.

On August 4, 2022, he criticized the performance of the stock market, calling it a "black hole" and questioning the competence of the current leadership. 不光是馬斯克，其他頂級富豪也遭受了重創(chuàng)。據(jù)媒體匯總的數(shù)據(jù)，5名參加特朗普宣誓就職儀式的富豪在此期間的財富損失總計2090億美元（約合人民幣1.52萬億元），其中馬斯克一人損失高達(dá)1480億美元，亞馬遜創(chuàng)始人貝索斯損失290億美元，谷歌聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人之一布林損失220億美元，扎克伯格和貝爾納·阿爾諾（LVMH掌門人）各自損失數(shù)十億美元。

美國花旗銀行10日發(fā)布報告稱，將美國股市評級從"增持"下調(diào)至"中性"，同時將中國股市評級上調(diào)至"持有"?；ㄆ煦y行分析師團(tuán)隊認(rèn)為，未來幾個月內(nèi)，美國經(jīng)濟(jì)不再引領(lǐng)全球其他地區(qū)。該行新興市場戰(zhàn)略主管德克·魏勒表示："我們之前提出，美國例外論至少正在暫停過程中。盡管這一趨勢尚未得到百分之百的驗(yàn)證，但這一轉(zhuǎn)變已變得更加明顯。"
